Hi,
I am Sandeep Kumar Patakamuri, a passionate researcher with expertise in remote sensing, geo-spatial technologies and data science. I have been fortunate to have best teachers and mentors in my life who have kindled my scientific curiosity and motivated me to pursue a career in research. Since my high school days, I was fascinated by space technology and its applications which has driven me to pursue masters and PhD in remote sensing.

With a focus on identifying the drivers and forecasting land cover land use changes, my research helps in natural resource management and planning. I have extensively used data from remote sensing satellites, house hold surveys, census records, economic surveys, and several government and non-governmental organizations to facilitate my research at Anna University-Chennai, in close collaboration with Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS/ ISRO). I have 8+ years of experience in data clustering, data classification, land use modeling, time series analysis, predictive analytics, forecasting models, and spatial analytics.

My core research interests are - earth observation satellite (EOS) systems, small satellites, data science, image processing and climate change. I have collaborated with researchers from various fields and open to collaborate on multidisciplinary research projects or consultancy projects.
